The process

How to validate a formula

1. Forms

MODELO formulas are developed in South Korea under the coordination of Dr. Kyle Seo. The starting point is not a trendy ingredient, but a skin problem observed in the clinic: spots, loss of firmness, weakened skin barrier.

2. Clinical testing

Testing is conducted by Modelo Cosmetics and at P&K Skin Research Center in Seoul, an independent laboratory specializing in skin measurements. Over 180,000 tests stand behind the product line.

3. European validation

Before reaching the European market, a cosmetic needs a product information file and a safety assessment, as required by Regulation (EC) 1223/2009. For the MODELO range, European validation is carried out at Nemo GmbH laboratory in Germany.
